The Panning Effect

You can use PowerPoint or Articulate push transition to create a cool panning effect, as explained in this post with a nice demo:

It looks great when you want to show a continuous visual, such as a map or a long timeline. Adobe Captivate has much more limited options for slide transitions. It’s quite a hassle to achieve this effect,. Basically you need to put the content of the previous slide on the following slide, apply motion path to the contents of both slides, one moving out and one moving in. It’s not worth it unless you really really need this panning. Here’s a demo I created:
